My work explores the relationship between sculpture and drawing through line, form, and space. Glass, metal grids, and sheets of aluminum become minimalist sculptural objects as they are propped, stacked and arranged in relation to one another. Dramatic lighting and exaggerated shadows draw attention to the formal qualities of these often overlooked found objects. My process transforms functional items into minimalist forms. Object becomes mark as the material in its rawest state is used and slightly altered. The matching color of the floor and walls creates a blank space, similar to a flat piece of paper. My site- specific sculptures and installations within blank spaces redefine that space and alter the way they are perceived. These three-dimensional objects often appear two-dimensional as the viewer approaches the installation.
